恩惠育乐营

 

历史介绍

 

恩惠育乐营的创办人张胡坤先生（牧师）于1984年成为一名全职社会工作者，并在吉隆坡蒲种先后创立老人院及儿童之家，致力于关怀社会上有需要的人士。

 

事工简介

 

恩惠育乐营的服务对象主要包括年长者、戒毒更生者及弱势群体（OKU）。

 

本机构于2020年6月23日正式开始运作，主要关怀生活贫困、无依无靠的年长者及戒毒更生者，同时接纳有智力障碍或身体残障的儿童与青少年，为他们提供适当的照顾与关怀。

 

目前，营地已建成一栋面积约为30英尺 × 60英尺的房屋，内设三间房间、三间厕所、一个礼堂及一个厨房。目前共有十二人居住其中，包括工作人员。

 

除了提供基本的生活照顾，我们也积极推动自给自足的生活方式。目前，营地已开始饲养不同种类的家禽，包括鸡、鸭、鹅及火鸡等，并种植榴莲树、蔬果及其他植物，希望透过这些活动培养生活技能，提升自立能力。

是一家非营利机构。日常营运经费主要来自善心人士的

爱心奉献与支持。

​ ​Our Mission The mission of Rumah Charis is to serve and bless the community through love and compassion, especially by reaching out to those in need. Our guiding principles are rooted in the teachings of the Bible: “Love your neighbor as yourself,” “Love your neighbor,” and “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Guided by the Christian values of love, humility, and service, we seek to share God’s love and compassion through practical acts of care and kindness. Rumah Charis welcomes and provides free accommodation for people in need, regardless of their religious beliefs or gender. We strive to offer them a safe, warm, and dignified living environment, together with long-term care and support according to their needs. We hope to walk alongside them through every stage of life, helping them experience love, care, and warmth.    ​Our Goals At Rumah Charis, we provide more than just material support. We also care deeply about the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of every individual under our care. With love, patience, and compassion, we strive to provide attentive care, support, and companionship. To meet changing needs and improve our services, we continuously enhance our facilities, care arrangements, and service methods. We also regularly provide staff with on-the-job training and professional development to strengthen their skills and improve the quality of care, ensuring that those under our care receive better and more comprehensive support. In addition, we regularly organize recreational and outdoor activities to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being and enrich their daily lives. We also encourage and train them in practical skills such as growing fruits and vegetables and raising poultry. Through these activities, we aim to develop their independence and self-reliance, helping them build confidence and live with greater dignity and hope in an environment of love, care, and support. 

 

 

Our History

 

The founder of Rumah Charis, Mr. Teo (Pastor), became a full-time social worker in 1984. He subsequently established an old folks’ home and a children’s home in Puchong, Kuala Lumpur, dedicating his life to serving and caring for those in need.

 

Our Ministry

 

Rumah Charis serves three main groups of people: senior citizens, recovering drug addicts, and vulnerable individuals, including persons with disabilities (OKU).

 

Our ministry officially commenced operations on 23 June 2020. We primarily provide care and support for elderly individuals who are living in poverty or have no family support, as well as individuals recovering from drug addiction. We also accommodate children and teenagers with intellectual or physical disabilities, providing them with a caring and supportive living environment.

 

To date, we have established a building measuring approximately 30 feet by 60 feet. The building consists of three bedrooms, three toilets, a hall, and a kitchen. Currently, twelve people, including staff members, reside at the premises.

 

In addition to providing basic care and accommodation, we also encourage a self-sufficient lifestyle. We have started raising various types of poultry, including chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys. We also grow durian trees, fruits, vegetables, and other plants. Through these activities, we hope to develop practical life skills and encourage greater independence among those under our care.

 

Our Funding

 

Rumah Charis (PUSAT JAGAAN RUMAH CHARIS), located in Melaka, is a non-profit organisation. Our daily operating expenses are mainly supported by the generosity and donations of caring individuals.

 

We sincerely appeal to members of the public to support our ministry and help us continue providing care and assistance to those in need.
